Reykjavik, Iceland – Honeymoon Experience Of a Lifetime

Close your eyes, imagine a place as green as Ireland, with the most dramatic water falls like Iguazu or Niagara.  Think of the most beautiful sheep of England, simple beaches and a volcanic landscape like no other, with peaks and valleys.  Open your eyes and you will be in Iceland.

IMG_0263_2 IMG_0268_2

There are so many interesting and a vast variety of things that make Iceland such a wonderful experience that I don’t know where to begin, but I shall try.  This past June while visiting the breathtaking country, the sun apparently did set but it never became dark.  One glorious evening, we were casually strolling, exploring the hot spots of the region, and we stopped at one of the local restaurant and ran into a bar at 12:00am; we couldn’t conceive that it was still daylight outside nor that it could possibly be that late.

Two of the most alluring things about Iceland are Reykjavik (pronounced rey-ka-vik) as a city and the beauty of nature all around you in Iceland. Reykjavik is the capital and a harbour city which boasts the most spectacular views, but although being a city, it provides you the comfort of a small town. Reykjavik is a city of 32,000 inhabitants. Everything from fine dining to fish skewers to Thai food is available. While we had consistently good dining experiences, the main surprise was the cost. While their main exports are wool and lamb,  almost everything else is imported, hence the incredible cost of everything there. Be forewarned, prepare yourself for an expensive but worthwhile trip!

The natural environment will blow your mind. It is an active volcanic island comprised of sand, lava fields, mountains and glaciers. The most alluring part of Iceland has to be the landscape. The natural beauty is astounding from the terrain of volcanic moss to the hot and cold thermal waters that are hard to describe but beats any jacuzzi you’ve ever sat in.

IMG_0601_2IMG_0455_2 IMG_0610_2 IMG_0628_2 IMG_0472_2IMG_0691_2

The famous Geysers, which derive from the Icelandic verb to gush, eruptions can happen infrequently depending on the geyser but will often gush boiling water metres high in the air.

One of the strangest experience is walking on the moss-like greenery that has grown over the volcanic rock and feels like stepping on broccoli but with a sinking effect. The juxtaposed views of green landscapes and ice capped mountains is exhilarating.

IMG_0754_2 IMG_0137IMG_0769 IMG_0725_2 IMG_0721_2 IMG_0709_2

The country has made a significant recovery since its meltdown in 2008 – no pun intended. There is evidence of this when you see the number of tourists, fine dining restaurants and a booming clubbing and bar scene that was fraught with people queuing to get into the various venues.

Reykjavik has just hosted the world’s most unique music festival, Summer Solstice which reigned over Reykjavik, for the first time from June 20-22, 2014. What made it different? The sun did not set over the three days and there was straight sunlight for 72 hours. The festival attracted over 10,000 people to their Icelandic shores to listen to the likes of Massive Attack, Banks, School Boy Q, Disclosure, Múm and close to 150 other artists.

The Reykjavik fashion scene is cool, trendy and stylish all wrapped up in one. Along the main road Laugavegur there is plenty of shopping for those of us who cannot resist.

IMG_1500IMG_1502

One of my favourite stores, Kiosk, is also located on the main street, Laugavegur in the heart of Reykjavik. This store is a co-op collective with creations of 9 Icelandic designers, all who take turns to work the counter and sell their designs.  Their gorgeous clothes and accessories range from silk to organza to quirky prints. Pop in, you are bound to meet one! Kiosk, Laugavegur 65, www.kioskreykjavik.com. There are many fabulous designers, too many to name but one that made a distinct impression is Eggert, http://www.furrier.is/photo-anders-engstrom/, a furrier with edgy designs, colours and stunning outerwear.

IMG_0798_2

Fine dining exists here just as it does in most major cities.
Mar Restaurant, http://www.marrestaurant.is/, is located not far from the waterfront and serves a great seafood soup, delicious fish and good lamb.

Nauthóll, http://nautholl.is/, has the most idyllic view of the beach, cool but relaxing décor and the best gin and tonics I’ve had in sometime with a little pepper added for garnish! The food is straight from the farm to the table. Healthy but sophisticated. Be sure to order any of the salads and the fish is pretty amazing too. It’s a little outside of the city centre but well worth the ride.

Nautholl Restaurant Nauthall Outside Fish dish IMG_1518

Thursdays are American vintage car day where you will see bikers dressed like hells angels and cars from “back in the days” that will peak your interest. Let’s not forget their piece de resistance, the largest church in Reykjavik, the Lutheran church, Hallgrímskirkja. The design, is said to have been built to resemble lava.

Grill Markt, http://www.grillmarkadurinn.is/, presents a décor that is both cozy and welcoming, a beautiful bar downstairs along with cozy booths around the back and nice size tables for groups. You could have mistaken the ambiance for any trendy New York restaurant even playing some rap songs from the 90s. But the menu was the most adventurous with Whale, Reindeer and Lobster mini burgers. Puffin is eaten here as well but it seemed to be out of season therefore not on the menu. The grilled red fish was firm and yet full of flavour.

If you are non-European and more specifically non-Scandinavian, you will be inclined to find the costs of everything outrageous. That being said, this is an experience you are unlikely to experience anywhere else and worth every penny or in this case every króna.

Location Location Location – The Carlyle Is All That Jazz

Image

The Carlyle Hotel in New York City has to be one of the most historically fashionable hotels to date. Besides having a history of housing some of history’s most influential people, it has also been known to be one of New York’s jazziest nightspots. Some of our favorite iconic performers have walked these grounds and performed in the night club, including Eartha Kitt, Rita Moreno, Bobby Short, and most recently, iconic bassist, Ron Carter  (accompanied by world famous guitarist, Russell Malone).

My first experience with The Carlyle was some 10 years ago, visiting the late Eartha Kitt before her performance. Her brilliantly decorated and perfectly maintained in-house apartment was astounding. From the doorman who greets you at curbside to the elevator operators, ALL of the staff lavish you with the white glove treatment. Literally. Frequent there enough and you will notice that they will know your name. Which, to me, speaks volumes.

The rooms and suites are some of the lushest environments you will want to call your home, whether it is for the night, the week, or you tie the knot. Your guests will be enchanted by the impeccable service they will receive. The comfort of their beds and the exquisite dining, be it an in-house restaurant or room service, will not leave them disappointed.

ImageImage

Recently, I had the opportunity to host an event at The Carlyle, and we have to say that everything was first class and polished to perfection! We are sticklers for great customer care. We value the treatment of our readers, thus the reason why we are very hands-on with every business and service we recommend in writing. If it is not inspected and experienced by one of our writers, it won’t be written about. No exceptions.

So, with great pleasure, we present The Carlyle Hotel as a location to consider for your wedding reception and honeymoon stay.  You will not be disappointed.

The intimacy that the event space provides makes it worth every dime. When you’ve waited your entire life for this moment of love, the magic you want to create with your new mate should begin in the same fashion you want it to be for the rest of your relationship: With style and elegance. What better way to send that message to each other and share it with your loved ones than at The Carlyle?

Make no mistake, this is not a cheap date. It will cost you, like anything of value which is meant to be cherished. So, when planning your wedding or honeymoon, you will need to evaluate what is more important to you in the grand scheme of things.

But I think you can appreciate that some experiences in life are just worth having and checking-off from your to-do list.

Reasons Why

The three most important things for a person looking to plan any event are (1) location, (2) location, and (3) LOCATION! Why is that so important when planning your wedding? It will not only become a factor in your wedding plans, it will also set the tone for the kind of wedding your guests can expect, even before they arrive.

Location will determine how your guests will arrive. They will need to plan ahead based on where they live.

Location will determine the parking situation for your guests. They will need to plan for whether parking is available on-site or off-site, and the cost involved.

Location will set the tone for your guests and the kind of wedding you are having. That includes the dress code, theme, and the ambiance that the space provides.

These are some things you should take into consideration when planning your nuptials. So, for your jazz lovers and history lovers, The Carlyle just might be the piece of history you have always wanted to have for your wedding day!

Best African Restaurants and Caterers: Thanks African Restaurant Week

In most cultures feeding the one you love is the ultimate sign of affection. Your wedding day is one of those occasions where the meal is one of the most important things and comes out in abundance. In the African culture, food is something that is taken very seriously, and you will have plenty of. So if a feast is what you want, then journey with us as we take you back to the motherland where food is the gateway to happiness.

New York African Restaurant Week kicked off April 29, 2014 at Suite 36 in Midtown Manhattan.  The venue was filled with patrons from near and far to sample amazing delicacies from some of the best African restaurants and caterers of New York. Barbara Food Creations, Pierre Thiam Catering, Mombassa Dishes, Farafina, Madiba and Panla Catering were all in attendance with mouth-watering dishes. Let’s just say I went in on a diet and came out craving more of the White Hennesy infused donuts by Sweet Dreams. If you missed out this year I got you covered. Below I have a list of the cuisine I was obsessed with. These caterers will be perfect for any bride looking to add a few African entrees to spice up her menu. Visit nyarw.com to attend their next event!

BARBARA NAADJIE of Barbara Food Creations dishes were Ghanaian inspired, each dish was flavorful and savory. I could not get enough of her stewed fish that was blended with tomatoes and boiled eggs. We were also treated to the infamous Jolof Rice which consists of onions, carrots and peas. The dish that stole my heart was the grilled shrimp that was seasoned to perfection with garlic, thyme, curry, black pepper and tomato paste. They were a little difficult to peel but after the first bite you will agree it was worth the struggle. Barbara can be reached via email and is ready to serve your reception no matter how big or small. nbewere@gmail.com.

Dining with Grace was simply an experience. She offers a full catering service including hors d’oeuvre, entrees and dessert! She has everything to satisfy that international palate of yours, such as savory steak with fresh vegetable toppings. Catering by Grace also offers full roasted chickens. You can reach out to Grace for additional information at www.diningwithgrace.com.

Sweet Dreams! Needless to say I have been dreaming of these sweet bite size donuts since I left Suite 36! The chef Todd Jones is a genius! I’m convinced he put a little bit of heaven in these tasty treats. These miniature donuts are perfect for any event, especially a wedding. He makes them fresh for you on the spot and adds a tad of powered sugar to each one. Think funnel cake meets mini cupcake. The taste is absolutely orgasmic! He even infuses them with different premium liquors, for this event he used Pure White Hennesy. These little treats are definitely worth the calories. Go to http://www.sweetdreamsminidonuts.com for additional info.

Now that our mouth has led the way, our belly is full. The continent of Africa has once again filled us with the wealth of our culture, the gift of our ancestors and has brought us plenty of happiness. We invite you to have your own experience on your wedding day. Bon Appetite.

Experiencing LUSH Spa

New York's LUSH SPA

EXPERIENCING LUSH SPA
by Victor Amos

Hidden among the skyscrapers of midtown, and tucked into the second floor of a retail shop, lies LUSH’s first U.S. spa. The natural beauty cosmetics chain, known for its extraordinary bath bombs and facial cleansers, is bringing an entirely new experience to the New York market – and their approach is very “hands-on.” LUSH has sent a team of massage therapists to train at the original LUSH Spa in England, so that you can experience their unique menu of treatments without hopping on an airplane.

New York's LUSH SPA

The experience begins on the ground floor of LUSH’s 2-story space on the corner of Lexington Avenue and 61st Street. You make a quick check-in at the front counter, and are promptly whisked past the whimsical sights and smells of the retail store, up the stairs, where you enter a beautifully-appointed waiting area. The waiting area of the spa is themed to look like an English countryside cottage, complete with weathered wooden cabinetry, vintage books, mason jars filled with wild flowers, and a rustic hodgepodge of wooden furniture.

New York's LUSH SPA

Your session starts with a meet-and-greet consultation with your massage therapist. You sit at the large kitchen table and go through a brief (but necessary) survey of your health, while also discussing what nooks and crannies you need the kinks worked out of. After a small chat, you are taken to your room … and that’s when the real magic happens!

New York's LUSH SPA

I chose to get a spa treatment called “The Comforter?” (yes, the question mark is part of the title). The Comforter? is not an ordinary massage, it is actually an exfoliating treatment. Exclusively for its spas, LUSH creates custom body products that can only be experienced during a treatment; they can’t be purchased. My treatment called for a chocolate body scrub (made of rhassoul mud, raw cacao paste, carob, and scrubby ground adzuki beans) to exfoliate my skin, and a rose body serum (made with illipe butter, shea butter, rose clay, and argan oil) to hydrate after the scrub.

New York's LUSH SPA

My treatment commenced with my undressing and sandwiching my body between a marshmallow-soft mattress and a fluffy heated duvet cover. OH. MY. GOD. Quite honestly, the treatment could have begun and ended here. I’d never been on a massage table like this one. While staring up at the constellations being projected onto the ceiling, my mind and body melted into a mush of relaxation; it was like being back in the womb again.  While the chocolate body scrub was being melted by candle, I was clearing my mind of its troubles, and focusing on the soundtrack to my treatment.

Now, while you may find the exclusive body products unique, there is another layer to the experience that makes it special. LUSH partnered with folk-musician Simon Emmerson to create a custom soundtrack for each spa treatment. Your entire session is colored by tranquil, yet validating tunes being gently whispered through the surround-sound speaker system above head. While listening to the custom soundtrack, I actually recognized many of the contemporary pop and soft-rock song covers … albeit a folksy, English rendition of them.

For the next 60 minutes, the expertly-trained massage therapist meticulously navigated my limbs as though she were a ballerina in a presentation of Swan Lake. Without exaggeration, the masseuse performs a rhythmically-synchronized dance, akin to the ebb and flow of an ocean shoreline, as they careen across your extremities. The sensations of pressure and release, timed to the exact stroke of the music, is a fine detail that sets this spa’s set of treatments apart from any other.

New York's LUSH SPA

To close out my service, I re-clothed myself and rendezvoused with my masseuse in the waiting area. I shared my never-ending ramble of thank yous and praises while she prepared a unique “mocktail” cocktail for me. My treatment came with a delicious drink consisting of sparkling water, rose water, and a fluffy piece of cotton candy, which I dissolved into the effervescent concoction.

New York's LUSH SPA

The full-circle moment of this experience was watching that piece of cotton candy dissolve into the fizzy pool of water. It almost made me chuckle, as I felt like all of the tension and stress that I came in with, disappeared just the same.

All About Eve: Fashion

allaboutevefashionI grew up listening to Eve here in Europe and I am a huge fan of her work; however, as much as I have admired her talent, I have always found it difficult to appreciate her sense of style – uncertain if she was creating her own image or if a styling team was. Either way, I never felt that her public fashion image was quite right for her. There was always something missing or wrong with the final outcome, making it very difficult for me to find some red carpet looks I could appreciate. Don’t get me wrong, I think she is a beautiful woman with a beautiful figure, but her wardrobe just did not quite fit the woman and her talent. As she developed into womanhood, I must admit that I noticed a shift in her style – an evolution into a more feminine and fashionable Eve. Thank God for growth! Nowadays, her fashion faux pas are less obvious and not so damaging. Below are a few of my favorite looks on her and one epic fail I had to feature, so that we can avoid it in the future. Currently, Eve is embarking toward another phase of her life: becoming a bride! Realistically, this will be her biggest red carpet moment in her life, both personally and professionally. Given, I took the liberty of putting together a list of suggested bridal gowns for her big day… with diamonds of course! If anyone knows my sense of style (from the designs of my clothing collection, to my styling some of the most amazing people) then you know that I study people first, acknowledging their past sense of style while cultivating a new image. My bi-lateral approach helps them to appreciate their new look without feeling like a completely “new” person. So, congrats to our beauty, Eve, on her nuptials, and may her choice in wedding attire fit the occasion!

Eve in Bill Blass at the amfAR and GBCHealth to end Aids Evening.

I can only give this look the thumbs up. Very demure, simple, soft, feminine and perfect color on her. The metallic belt “cuts” her waist perfectly and elongates her legs. The metallic color brings the color of the dress out and gives an edgy look. Floor length is a must for this type of design. Right choice of jewelry too.     BET Hip Hop Awards 2013 - Red Carpet I love the whole combination, great LBD with the hem detail and the thigh jewelry that makes the whole difference. It is just the little fashion touch this look needed. The shoes are divine and feminine. Keeping the top half “classic” and jazzing up the bottom half is the right balance when you do not want to overdo it. Simple, sexy, feminine and definitely rocking!     3 Where do I start? This is just an epic faux pas. The whole leather look just does not work. The chunky zips, ermmm, hell no! This is fashion diarrhea to my eyes. When you have such a top, you cannot add any jewelry to it. Crotch zips showing on pants are always a no go ladies… The top would have looked a million dollar better if just worn with the perfect cut denims. The shoes are by Mugler and even though they are an absolute delight, with this styling disaster, they look cheap and definitely not chic! I will not even discuss her braid overkilling the fashion. This look makes her look shorter which none of us wants to do! Eve deserved to fire her whole styling team on this one.     4 I absolutely adore this look on her. The knee-length floral dress with the ruching/draping on the bustline accentuates any woman’s assets. The dress has a little late 50s feel to it, the peep-toes modern Mary-Janes are exquisite…     5 My first suggestion for Eve’s wedding would be this ivory organza wave bridal ball gown, sheer alencon lace bodice with organza petal accent, platinum jeweled ribbon belt at natural waist, circular skirt, chapel train. This design is by Lazaro. I would team it up with De Beers diamonds necklace and earrings from their Swan Lake collection. The Swan Lake collection is inspired by the harmony and grace of the prima ballerina and her corps de ballet. It is said that a ballerina will only reach her prime if she dances the part of Odette and Odile, the shapes of the prima’s perfect moving form and the balance of the dancing formation of the corps of swans is core to the harmony of the necklace. Each rare and stunning diamond is positioned to bring out its character and life, its unique brilliance living up to its shape and size.     6 This charming 18K white, pink and yellow gold necklace captivates the eye with a selection of 100 white and colored beads and pear-shaped marquise, oval, round brilliant, baguette and rose-cut diamonds, each in a half-bezel setting.     7 These delectable 18K white, pink gold earrings captivate the eye with a selection of 10 white and colored pear-shaped, baguette, oval and round brilliant diamonds in a half-bezel setting.     8 Her veil should be this one from Vera Wang. Two-tier chapel length veil with raw cut edge and lace applique detail. Beautiful hand-detailed lace appliques adorn the bottom edge of the long tier. Two layers of raw edge tulle create an ethereal, romantic bridal look.     9 I am a fan of Elie Saab and this magnificent gown is just a dream come true! The fishtail which brings old Hollywood glamour to the aisle, the statement backs, the illusion necklines, and sheer, embellished sleeves are superb. The veil is simple which is exactly how it should be as the dress tells a story by itself, the rest should stay minimal.     10 To go with this Royal Gown, you need Royal Diamonds and to stay simple it should be this Graaf Tiara. Worn by royalty for thousands of years, the tiara is a symbol of power, splendor and significance. Graff is known for its stunning tiara designs, and this latest incarnation of this iconic treasure is shown here with magnificent radiant, round and pear shape yellow and white diamonds – all hand set by Graff’s master craftsmen. 284 Diamonds, 122.63cts make this crown a delight to the eyes.     11 12 13 When it comes down to weddings, Vera Wang is The Queen of The Aisle! And this dress is from her archives/classic designs. As you know with wedding gowns, seasons do not matter as most designs are timeless and this is the perfect example. I love the latte color, the constructed bustier is super feminine; the draping, the layers of the silk organza and the oversize flowers are to die for. The bow belt accentuates the waistline. This is such a Princess dress. And we all know that any woman was a Princess growing up! I would choose Garrard’s jewelry to go with this gown… And from their Star and Garter Collection…     14 Star and Garter bangle featuring a focal rose cut diamond within star emblem, created in 18ct rose gold.
The Star and Garter collection is inspired by the rich and expansive heritage of this British jewelry house. Badges and decorations that the brand has made over the centuries form colourful ensembles of shapes and motifs.     15 Star and Garter pink tourmaline earrings surrounded by pink sapphires and white diamonds with a suspended rose quartz drop, created in 18ct rose gold.     16 Star and Garter rose quartz pendant surrounded with pave white diamonds and delicate trace chain detailing, created in 18ct rose gold.     17 My last choice of gown is from Maria Senvo, a newcomer in the bridal industry but I predict a beautiful and bright future for this brand. This design is from their debut collection.
I would team this gown with some Stephen Webster diamonds from his Couture Voyage collection. Those pieces are inspired by iconic destination from around the world. Made in 18ct white gold, these couture pieces illustrate the architecture, culture and style of Africa, New York and Russia.     18 19     Francesca Marotta, is an Italian born designer, who is an incredible stylist, living in London.  But the world is her playground in search of fashion. www.francescamarotta.com

To Pietrasanta with love . . .

They say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and there is plenty of beauty to fall in love with at the Albergo Pietrasanta Hotel.
Or while you are there, simply fall in love all over again with that special someone.

Esterni_MG_7108

Although, it was a grand seventh century palazzo (palace), the property is not ostentatious in its appearance. In fact, if you are not careful, its simple yet elegant façade and glass entrance could be easily mistaken for one of the many stylish art galleries that are dotted along the medieval streets of Pietrasanta.

Camera16_MG_3614Camera13_MG_7311

Each sleeping room is more beautiful than the next and with more fabulous space than the next depending the room type or suite. All are to die for, especially if you are travelling from other parts of Europe. Not only do they offer luxury amenities, but, every detail is thought of from the beautiful soft furnishings right down to a shaver with shaving cream! The period furniture is elegant and all the rooms have wonderful natural light. If you are lucky, you may have a room over looking the romantic courtyard.

As you enter the lounge area, ahead lies in a glass atrium the dining room. The first thing that meets the eye is a beautifully landscaped garden cleverly designed to connect with the unobtrusive converted stables the other side of a peaceful and quiet space. They even have a small gym, off the garden, a great place to stretch or warm up before your exercise. Inside the atrium dining room, the menu is ever pleasing to the eye and to your stomach, along with the beautifully chilled prosecco served daily.

The Albergo Pietrasanta Hotel is in a small town known for it’s art and it’s attraction of celebrities and famous artists such as Fernando Botero and Alfonso Cuarón (Oscar Winning Director for Gravity).

Another unknown celebrity, Barbara Pardini is the jewel of the property, and the General Manager.  She brings a certain “je ne sais quoi” to the hotel. Which embodies all of the beautiful things that you will experience upon your visit. Specifically, the unique and niche one of a kind experiences that only she can provide for you to experience as a guest at Albergo Pietrasanta. She offers this and more in order to enhance your stay at this exquisite venue. Her wonderful and warm aura is so inviting, you can’t imagine anything that she organizes for you not exceeding expectations – but they do!

Biciclette_MG_7350

A few of the trips she organised were; a trip to Carrerra, notable for the white or blue-grey marble quarried there which is the same marble, quarried hundreds of years ago for some of the Michelangelo’s statues.  It’s a sight to behold and driving up the marble mountain in a 4x 4 is not for the faint of heart! Or a private tour of the great opera composer, Giacomo Puccini’s home – now a museum, or a concert at the  open-air opera house dedicated to his work situated on the Massaciuccoli Lake – bellismo!

These are just a few of the one of kind experiences available.

A day trip to Portofino, Cinque Terre, the beaches of Versailia, or the exclusive shops in Forte dei Marmi can all be arranged as a guest at Albergo Pietrasanta. Closer to home in Pietrasanta, don’t miss the Mexican Sculptor, Gustavo Aceves’ exhibition LAPIDARIUM, located in the main Piazza.

Coming from the UK where customer service can often be questionable, there is nothing else to ask other than, “why can’t it be like this everywhere?” The discreet staff is at your service for everything and anything and more than willing to help you with every whim or query. The hotel is neither small nor large rather it could be likened to a fine private home. What is impressive is the extensive art collection consisting over 61 pieces of mostly first editions, throughout the hotel.  What’s not to love? Art is a consistent theme through out the hotel and the town. If you are as passionate about art as I am, you will believe you have reached Nirvana!

If you want an experience that money can’t buy or a romantic wedding, a honeymoon or an artistic getaway off the beaten track, contact Barbara Pardini by email: bpardini@albergopietrasanta.com or Tel.: 00390584793727 and quote WBN-AP for a great rate.

The List -One Registry for His and Her

The Bridal registry maybe one of the most anticipated tasks for any bride. Picking your favorite items while someone else flips the bill is every girls dream. Unfortunately picking up expensive china is probably the last thing your man has planned for his Saturday afternoon. I have compiled items that will truly make this a his and hers event.

Bedding.

A good portion of your marriage will be spent in bed. What says I love you more than comfy sheets and blankets? Brides and grooms usually forget all about the cozy necessities. Jersey fabrics are light weight and perfect for spring, while flannel sheets are great for your winter time cuddle night.

Knives.

Ladies make cooking for the man in your life easier on yourself and treat yourself to some amazing cookware. Slow cookers and toasters are great but good knives are a necessity. High quality cookware may not seem like the most ideal thing to be shopping for but it can definitely improve your dishes if your still a chef in training.

Electronics.

For my guys! It’s definitely acceptable to request electronics on your list. Speakers, cameras, DVD players, hey why not a ipad?! Don’t indulge to much though, no one likes a greedy couple.

Honeymoon.

Everything is done online now a days, and you have been dreaming of that honeymoon in the Cayman Islands right? A honeymoon registry only seems logical. This may have been frowned upon back in the day but the cost of spa treatments and snorkeling can add up so why not put in the list?

Macys.com is a one stop shop for all of your bridal registry needs!
