AGADIR ARGAN OIL is all the rage these days, with celebs and acclaimed hairstylists proclaiming it a miracle treatment. At first glance it would appear to be yet just another hair care product adding Argan oil, however, the difference can be felt immediately! These alcohol and cruelty free products enrich hair by protecting it from environmental and heat damage! That’s just what you brides and brides-to-be need to prepare your hair for your Big Day or perhaps protect it from the sun during your honeymoon island escape.
Agadir’s products are infused with 100% certified Argan oil that comes from the Argan tree, which is native to Morocco and is rich in Vitamin E, Omega-9, Omega-6, Linoleic Acid, Oleic Acid and other essential fatty acids said to be excellent for hydrating, repairing, conditioning hair and scalp. It is also more resistant to oxidation than other types of oil (meaning it won’t lose its nutrients as quickly once exposed). Argan oil also has a low molecular weight allowing it to instantly penetrate into the hair shaft without weighing hair down.
Agadir makes shampoos, conditioners, heat protectants, treatments and styling aids.
Upon using these products, I noticed that the hair felt moisturized as the products were being applied, during styling and after. They definitely nourish the hair and give it an overall healthy, noticeable shine. I really love the that these products are suitable for all hair types and styling methods.

Who’s that girl? Eve’s that girl! She never fails us with her bold hairstyles. Whether she’s wearing long tresses with spicy highlights topped off with a blunt fringe or turning heads with her flamboyant blonde bob, Eve’s hairstyles are as versatile as her rhymes. Eve and her blonde bob looks are definitely a winner in my book! She wears this classic style so effortlessly always giving us sassy and chic. Let’s explore how to achieve her looks!
STRAIGHT & SLEEK:
To create a super straight finish, use a hot flat-iron to touch up any sections that require a smoother texture. Finish with a light weight oil for the ultimate shine. Apply a dime size to the palms of your hands, emulsify and lightly brush across the surface of your hair. Always remember a little product goes a long way!
FHI Heat Platform Flat Iron
Sachajuan Intensive Hair Oil
Oribe Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil
Alterna Bamboo Smooth Kendi Treatment Oil
TOUSLED & FREE:
The tousled effect can be achieved by using a curling iron, 1’’ or higher, wrap 1-inch sections of hair from mid-shafts to ends only (leave the roots straight). Curl random sections of hair in different directions to create a more haphazard, rough texture. Gently touse your hair with your hands to break up the curls. Complete the look by misting a light finishing hair spray.
L’Oréal Elnett Hair Spray
Aveda Air Control Hairspray
Fekkai Sheer Hold Hair Spray
BODY & VOLUME:
Body and volume can be achieved with product and heat. Separate your hair into 2″ sections and spray roots with a volumizer. Blow dry with a medium to large round brush starting near the back of the head using half-inch pieces and working around to the front on either side. To create extra volume, hold brush in the hair near the scalp until the hair cools (about five seconds), then move the brush down and through to the ends of the hair for a smooth finish.

Whether you’re an edgy platinum blonde, a rich shade of chocolate brown, or a fiery redhead proper color and maintenance is a must leading up to your wedding day!
As a professional hairstylist with vast coloring experience I always recommend getting your hair color or any chemical process done by a professional. You should go pay your colorist a visit one to two weeks before your wedding day for application. If you’re a single-process brunette or a redhead, you should have it done the same week. The fresher the color, the better it will photograph. If you have highlights or low lights it should be done up to two weeks prior. You want to give the highlights time to settle and soften. To ensure that you maintain that just from the salon richness make sure you indulge in at-home color care! You should use a professional color safe shampoo and conditioner.
I recommend these Kérastase products (kerastase-usa.com):
Kérastase Reflection Bain Chroma Riche shampoo and Bain Chroma Riche System Aqua- Ionic Masque for Brunettes and Redheads
Kérastase Bain Force Architecte shampoo and Ciment Anti-User conditioner for Blondes
Here are two Pro tips to help with maintenance:
1. Avoid excessive heat styling and an extended amount of sun exposure.
This is very important because both sun and heat can be damaging to your hair and contribute to early fading.
2. Wash hair less frequently.
Refresh on your off days by flipping hair over and spraying dry shampoo at the roots to soak up oil.
Follow these tips to keep your hair lustrous and full of life!

Undoubtedly, the top Spring hair trends for 2014 has to be wearing romantic flowers and undone hairstyles giving you a Boho look. As seen on the catwalk, Dolce and Gabbana Zac Posen, and Anna Sui all used romantic blossoms to decorate their models on the runway. This look is also gorgeous for real brides. Try incorporating small flower heads by pinning them all over the hairstyle. One single bloom can be worn on the side of the head if trying to achieve a more conservative look.
Boho is also a hot look that’s in full effect! Rachel Zoe graced us with Old World-style braids for this years look. Braids, twists and beach wave texture are very trendy right now for brides. This style is great because it’s not overdone, and is still sexy. If you are going with this look for your wedding, aim for natural looking curls for your tresses with earthy details like knots twists, and braids. You can also add flowers to this style or opt for gold hair accessories for a more glamorous look.

Doing your hair for your wedding can be complicated. You never want your hairstyle to upstage your jewelry, dress or makeup. All of these features should compliment each other. From long luscious locks to a naturalista your do is like the cherry on the top of the sundae. So you must get it right. You can wear hair accessories, a veal or just a plain up do. What ever you do own it!
A head band or a simple flower is great way to express yourself, especially if your dress is simple.
Just because you are wearing a veil does not mean you cant accessorize. Just keep it simple.
The locks just gave this head piece a new look.
For my twist out ladies!
For my ladies with long natural curls it is really easy to just throw some shiny accessories or flowers in there.
You can never go wrong with a classic up do.
Braids are in this season. Be a fashionista for your wedding day!

Curly, Coiled, & Confused?:
6 tips for the Natural Hair Bride
by Sonia Castleberry
Listen up Curly Brides! If you want your hair to look amazing on your wedding day, maintenance and preparation is key! Here are 6 vital steps that you should follow to make sure your hair is looking it’s absolute best for your Big Day!
1. Have a bridal hair consultation at least 3 months in advance with your chosen hair stylist. During this time try out several different styles and choose the one that best fits you and your personality. Take into consideration, your style of dress, facial structure, and climate.
2. Schedule a hair trim appointment 3 weeks prior to the date. This will help to minimize breakage by ensuring that your hair is free of split ends.
3. Limit your heat usage! Excessive heat use can lead to heat damage over time, which can permanently damage your natural curl pattern. If you must use heat always make sure you are applying a heat protectant first. TRESemme’ Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Spray guards against heat and friction to keep your hair shiny and incredibly soft.
4. Began a deep conditioning treatment regimen ASAP! Once a week you should apply an all natural conditioner to your hair and allow it sit for 15 min. This process helps to rejuvenate your hair from the weather elements and manipulation. TRESemme’ Naturals Nourishing Conditioner is lightweight silicone free, and uses natural ingredients to hydrate your hair.
5. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and using water based products! This will keep your hair well hydrated and moisturized.
6. Protect your curls at night by wearing a silk or satin bonnet. If you aren’t the bonnet type opt out and purchase a silk or satin pillowcase.
